About The Institute

Founded in 1990 as the Educational Arm of LeadingAge Georgia, the Georgia Institute on Aging is a leading provider of timely and informative educational opportunities for its members and the residents they serve, state and local policy makers, professionals in the field of aging and the community at large.

The Institute is a significant membership benefit as the professional development of the aging services workforce is critical to keeping proficient and maintaining the best staff in our field. Through our sponsorship program and grants, the Institute is able to provide affordable, quality training to staff working in our member organizations throughout Georgia.

Our Leadership Academy is recognized nationally as a cutting-edge program to ensure professionals in our field as trained and positioned to be actively engaged in creating the future of aging services in Georgia. Our comprehensive library of webinars can be accessed by staff all over the state at their convenience 24/7.

A special thanks to all who participate in the Institute Sponsorship Program without whom we could not provide these events and other services which have become so valuable for our members.
